the tarkine

Interpretative gallery (Tarkine)

Located in the Centre of Waratah, the Tarkine Interpretation Centre is a great place to stop and check out what the Tarkine has to offer.

This glorious old civic icon has now been restored and renovated. On offer is interpretation, information, maps, brochures, DVD presentation and Tarkine items to purchase. Partake in a hot cup of tea or coffee whilst enjoying the art and photographic exhibitions.

Friendly staff will help you find out more about where to go and what to see on your Tarkine journey. Waratah has many other fascinating attractions such as the Stamper Mill (old mine workings), Philosopher Smiths’ hut and the Waratah Museum, all in walking distance from the Tarkine Interpretation Centre.

Entry to the Tarkine Interpretation Centre and Gallery is free...
To find out the opening hours, please call the centre on (03) 6439 7100 to avoid disappointment.
